Ashley Stirling and Paul Partyka
Family owned and operated
for over 50 years!
Vac-Way Lawn and Garden, LLC., is a local family owned and operated business since 1966. The original owners were Frank and Claire Partyka. Frank was a veteran of World War II, having served in England in the Signal Corps. He later went on to own and operate a small farm in Roaring Brook Twp., Pa and served as manager of the Electrolux Vacuum Cleaner Co. in Scranton, before founding his own business, Vac-Way Appliance Co., which was located on Cedar Ave. in the southside section of Scranton, Pa. He was soon joined by his sons Paul, Jeff, and Dave where the choice had been made to expand the business to also include repairs for a large array of household appliances and lawn and garden equipment as well as to open a Kingston, Pa and a Moscow, Pa location. The flagship location in Scranton was closed in August of 2013 when the family chose to sign over the building to United Neighborhood Services to make way for the redevelopment of the area. In 2015 the Kingston location was taken over by Frank and Claire’s Great Granddaughter Ashley Stirling who is still the current owner now. The Moscow location is still owned and operated by Dave Partyka.
We strive to satisfy our clients, many of whom have become like family over the years. Establishing positive relationships with our customers and other local companies is very important to us. We not only repair and sell vacuums and lawn and garden equipment but are also a warranty service center for over 60 companies including Briggs & Stratton, Husqvarna, Waring Commercial, Power Wheels, and Razor USA, just to name a few. In addition to vacuums, shampooers, and outdoor power equipment we also work on Kitchen Aid stand mixers, lamps, heaters, fans and kid’s ride-on toys.
Who we are
“Quality of work is much more important than quantity of repairs being completed.”
